IP telephony
A key feature of the 2N NETSTAR PBX is the support of IP telephony, which results in entirely new dimensions for the world of telecommunications.
Review of basic benefits:
- Savings on telecommunications fees
- you no longer pay for calls between your branches
- you call for free or for a very small cost to anywhere in the world
- Building a home office
- Build a home office and do not pay for calls between home and the office or branches
- Work at home in the same comfort as you would at the office
- Very cheap calls for travelling employees
- Using a software telephone, you can call the office for free, regardless of whether you are at a hotel or airport on the other side of the planet
The VoIP interface can be used in two modes:
Trunk mode is used particularly for ranking PBXs or for connection to the VoIP service provider.
In the second mode, the PBX serves as a SIP proxy, to which SIP-VoIP terminals can register.
An important feature of the VoIP interface is that both modes can be combined. Hence it is possible to connect both of the separate SIP terminals to the 2N NETSTAR PBX whilst leading a virtually unlimited number of trunks out of it (e.g. to remote branches or service providers).
The number of connected IP telephones is restricted only by the capacity of call processing during transition between IP and the other networks.
VoIP can be configured from 4 LBR channels in the basic set to hundreds of channels with the VoIP extension card. The number of connected terminals depends only on the transfer capacity of the network and the number of software licenses.
- IP telephones are becoming a regular part of our offices.
- Connection of corporate WAN network branches is usable for telephoning.
- IP telephones behave like any other 2N NETSTAR terminal.
- IP telephones during travels.
