Basic information about modules

2N NETSTAR is a modular concept device. The basic unit is the case, into which the controlling, line and advance modules are inserted. The 2N NETSTAR BASIC model contains a single case. With the 2N NETSTAR PRO model, it is possible to pile up to 5 cases (basic case + 4 extender cases). Extenders are connected by external trunks always from the SWITCH module in the basic case (compulsory module).

The compulsory equipment in the basic case is the CPU MODULE, which differs in make for the extenders: EXTENDER CPU MODULE.

The basic module may also contain advance modules. A transfer n x E1 module is available.

Each case contains its own power source without backup. Backup against power outages is supplied by an external UPS.

The case is supplied in "standalone" or "rack" format.

The survey arranged in 2005 by Comenius, the Pan-European Society for Culture and Education, confirmed that 2N TELEKOMUNIKACE was one of the Czech companies capable of long-time expansion. The 2N company occupied the 38th place in the 100 Best Czech award for 2005.

On the occasion of the Czech president’s visit to 2N TELEKOMUNIKACE a.s. on 24 October 2005, the President and his wife were, among other things, presented the new 2N NETSTAR communication system, a development novelty from the 2N.
