Profile, service and telephone settings
Telephone line behaviour profiles are a basic user aid for the rapid and convenient setting of communication services with regard to the user’s current work activities. Using profiles, the user can choose (at the push of a button):
- which line rings during incoming calls
- how to forward the call (permanently, when busy, or when absent)
- what volume the telephone rings at
Profiles are similar to mobile telephone settings. Using profiles, users most often “handle” everyday situations.
| Profile | Rings | Forwarding | Ringtone volume |
| OFFICE | Line in the office | To mobile after 20 seconds | Standard |
| MEETING | Line in the office | - |
Quiet |
| TRAVELLING | Line in the office, mobile | Line in the office to mobile | Standard |
| DO NOT DISTURB | - |
Voice mail box | Silent |
Profiles are selected in the 2N NETSTAR Assistant environment. It is also possible to choose them from the console of the 2N StarPoint system device.
The comfort of telephoning also involves the ergonomics of the telephone device with configurable functions. Setting up the 2N StarPoint system telephone is independent of the need to read handbooks or make one’s way through complex menus.
Using pictures, 2N NETSTAR Assistant enables each user to enter intuitively which keys will contain which speed dial numbers, to allocate numbers and names from telephone directories and also to print tags for the keys. It is also possible to set other functions, such as display brightness, loudspeaker volume and other features. The settings can easily be copied between telephones.
