Overvoltage protection

It is a good idea to protect 2N NETSTAR equipment against the effects of atmospheric overvoltage, although the device itself already contains a certain degree of active overvoltage protection. Protection is made for:

  • power supply parts in the form of installing active overvoltage protection to the network cable (e.g. 2N POWER PROTECTOR, 2N SAFE)
  • telecommunication carrier lines (in the form of strengthening the internal protection on individual 2N NETSTAR modules)
  • on GSM conductors from external antennas (using special connectors with a protection element)

In order to ensure the correct functioning of internal and external 2N NETSTAR overvoltage protectors, it is necessary to perform perfect electrical grounding of the case.
