GSM accessories
During the equipping of internal GSM gateways, it is essential to keep in mind the quality of the GSM signal at the installation point. Often, it is necessary to solve 3 types of situations:
- Good signal at the installation point
interior GSM antennas, located outside the impact zone of possible force interference in the room, are sufficient for GSM gateway operation - Poor/worse signal at the installation point
GSM antennas are located at the higher points of the facility, on roofs, etc. It is necessary to expect a conduction cable from the roof, and also that every meter of cable causes a reduction in the GSM signal that must be compensated with a higher quality antenna with higher gain. - Insufficient GSM network capacity
In cases with a greater number of installed GSM gateways and a regular lack of free channels on the “GSM base stations”, the situation is solved by using GSM YAGI directional antennas, which are aimed at several base stations in the vicinity. Hence, operation is distributed equally. Several GSM gateways are connected to each YAGI antenna using a GSM splitter (antenna splitter). It can be supplied in the form of an internal module (*being prepared) or for a 19" rack.
